Men’s Rugby Imports Player of the Week
Player: Joe Cutrone
School: Sacred Heart
Position: Prop
Class: Senior
Cutrone has been a stalwart for Sacred Heart all season. The prop was exceptional in set piece and set the tone for Sacred Heart in a close win over Siena.
Women’s Rugby Imports Player of the Week
Player: Maria Hyland
School: Siena College
Position: Wing
Class: Senior
A co-captain of the team, Maria made multiple line breaks and tackles in tough game against RPI scoring a try, two conversions and making two successful two penalty kicks, one of which was from 40 meters, breaking the tie.

Men’s Rugby Imports Player of the Week
Player: Hayden Frey
School: USMMA
Position: Number 8
Class: Freshman
Frey scored six tries against TCJN from his number eight position. He acted as the verbal commander on the field. He was the defensive communicator and directed traffic all over the field. Although the score looks very lopsided, he ran very hard lines and his tenacious energy led to line breaks that broke open the 7-7 stalemate 20 minutes into the match.
Women’s Rugby Imports Player of the Week
Player: Angela Faison
School: Monroe College
Position: Fullback
Class: Freshman
In her first ever season playing rugby, Faison has had an impact for the undefeated Monroe College. The fullback tallied three tries against Manhattanville in a resounding win for the Mustangs. Her ability to find space along with her strength and pace has shown her to be a serious attacking threat in her first year of rugby.

Men’s Rugby Imports Player of the Week
Player: Tayab Kimani
School: Hofstra University
Position: Number 8
Class: Senior
Forward captain Tayab Kirmani led the way for Hofstra University. He was a force on both sides of the ball, scoring 3 tries throughout the match and was dominant at the breakdown, which was key to keeping possession. Tayab also helped preserved the Hofstra shutout by leading the defense on a goal line stand and recording several tackles. Tayab was a force running the ball and in leading his team to victory!
Women’s Rugby Imports Player of the Week
Player: Abby Alexander
School: Vassar College
Position: Wing
Class: Senior
Alexander adds dynamic player to an extremely potent Vassar College. The winger tallied two tries this past weekend using her speed to outflank the defense in Vassar’s 43-17 win over Albany. Her first score opened the game and her second gave Vassar some breathing room from a tough Albany team.
