Men’s Rugby Imports Player of the Week

Player: Joe Cutrone
School: Sacred Heart
Position: Prop
Class: Senior

Cutrone has been a stalwart for Sacred Heart all season. The prop was exceptional in set piece and set the tone for Sacred Heart in a close win over Siena.

Women’s Rugby Imports Player of the Week

Player: Maria Hyland
School: Siena College
Position: Wing
Class: Senior

A co-captain of the team, Maria made multiple line breaks and tackles in tough game against RPI scoring a try, two conversions and making two successful two penalty kicks, one of which was from 40 meters, breaking the tie.

Men’s Rugby Imports Player of the Week

Player: Hayden Frey
School: USMMA
Position: Number 8
Class: Freshman

Frey scored six tries against TCJN from his number eight position. He acted as the verbal commander on the field.  He was the defensive communicator and directed traffic all over the field. Although the score looks very lopsided,  he ran very hard lines and his tenacious energy led to line breaks  that  broke open the 7-7 stalemate 20 minutes into the match.

Women’s Rugby Imports Player of the Week

Player: Angela Faison
School: Monroe College
Position: Fullback
Class: Freshman

In her first ever season playing rugby, Faison has had an impact for the undefeated Monroe College. The fullback tallied three tries against Manhattanville in a resounding win for the Mustangs. Her ability to find space along with her strength and pace has shown her to be a serious attacking threat in her first year of rugby.
